Vitafoods Asia: Documented probiotics for dietary supplements and infant formula

Press release   •   Aug 16, 2011 08:50 UTC

Chr. Hansen’s probiotic experts will be in place at the Vitafoods Asia 2011 trade show for the global nutraceutical industry taking place in Hong Kong September 7-9.

At Chr. Hansen’s booth (#220) our Asian sales managers will be ready to discuss the business opportunities of its visitors and share their knowledge about the probiotic market and consumer preferences. Chr. Hansen’s Executive Vice President Henrik Dalboege will attend the event and visitors will also have the chance to meet Scientific Affairs Director Birgit Michelsen and Sales Director for Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa Henning Villadsen.

“During the last couple of years Chr. Hansen has experienced an increased demand from the Asian market of our documented probiotic strains”, says Henning Villadsen. “We see the focus being directed towards our science-based probiotic products in Asia. This is completely in line with Chr. Hansen’s promise to deliver a product which is clinically documented and safe, and which meets the label claim throughout the whole shelf life of the product.”

“Vitafoods Asia is a very good platform for Chr. Hansen to gather our business partners as it offers us a good setting for displaying our latest product offerings as well as clinical studies with our customers. We are confident that it will be a successful event for Chr. Hansen”, comments Charlotte Beyerholm, Marketing Manager, Human Health & Nutrition.

Chr. Hansen will be focusing on promoting its most recent probiotic innovations at the trade show:

Bifidobacterium BB-12® plus fiber against constipation
The combination builds on strong clinical studies on BB-12® and the historical beneficial effect of fibres on costipation.

Probiotic chewable tablets
Our well-documented probiotic strains are formulated in chewable tablets in a variety of flavors - an ideal concept for children.

Chr. Hansen will be hosting a supplier seminar on September 8 focusing on the importance of choosing probiotic strains with documented effect for the consumer product. Here, Birgit Michelsen will present Chr. Hansen’s clinical studies strategy and highlight the newest studies on Chr. Hansen’s documented Probio-Tec® strains.
