20 years of success in Poland

Upon its 20th anniversary Chr. Hansen Poland continues to drive and develop the market.

The Polish food industry has developed tremendously throughout the past decades and is today an important market for Chr. Hansen. The Polish affiliate was established in 1992 as a spearhead in the company’s strategy for Eastern Europe and celebrates the first 20 years in a positive setting:

Hansen.

New product launches underway in Poland
Adam Matyjek, Country Manager for Chr. Hansen Poland (photo), has been around since the first day and is proud to be part of a success:

“We started out in small premises in Warsaw where myself and three employees – two of those still around – were responsible for everything, from making invoices to manning the warehouse on top of visiting customers,” he remembers.

“Today we have grown to be a leading player in the Polish food industry. Right now we are aiming to further develop the market through up-selling and converting dairy customers to new concepts that offer higher yield.

We are also launching new and improved concepts such as eXact Fit cultures for Tvorog and back-up cultures for our DCC cheese culture range. Many color customers are converting to our FruitMax® range of coloring foodstuff (eg fruit or vegetable juice), just as we are seeing a growing interest in our I-Colors® range of natural instant powder colors for ‘instant beverages’.

In short we are well positioned for future growth in the Polish market,” concludes Matyjek.
